• The Senators and the rest of minor league baseball have launched new looks on all of their websites. It’s definitely worth checking out the updated appearance and easy to access links for tickets and the team store.

• Major league spring training is in full force and thankfully the action on the field has begun. Although just a few games in, some current and former Senators have been excelling in early action.

• Another aspect of spring training, is the accelerated development camp which includes top prospects who aren’t quite ready for big-league camp, pitchers on strict throwing regimens, and veteran minor leaguers who could use some extra work.

Old Faces, New Places

Chris Young (’03) is back in the Nats/Expos system as the 6’10” righthander was signed by Washington to a minor league deal with an invite to spring training.

• After sitting out the 2012 season to be with his pregnant wife, Leonard Davis (’08-’11) agreed to terms with the Winnipeg Goldeyes of the independent American Association.

• After a 2012 where he went 6-8 with 11 saves, Jim Ed Warden (’08) re-signed with the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs for his fourth consecutive season with the team.

Joe Bisenius (’10) signed with the American Association’s Lincoln Saltdogs for 2013. Last season Bisenius pitched for both Aguascalientes and Saltillo of the Mexican League going a combined 9-10 with a 4.92 ERA in 22 starts.
